Gundam vs Omegamon by MightyDargor Gundam vs Omegamon by MightyDargor
Playing with the recently rigged Omegamon and experimenting with Mental Ray. Still I have to learn a lot on how to properly render with this tool.

If you have a suggestion, or some criticism, please write down here. I'm always happy to hear some feedback. Thank you :)

The limbs on Omegamon are the wrong way round and I'm sure the Grey Sword has digi-code written on it on both sides of it... nice job either way...

Thank you for your comment :) You're right, the limbs are inverted (and I don't know why I didn't noticed, lol). And I'm currently working on the texture of the sword.

Looking nice :)
Speaking about mental ray - cannot figure out is there global illumination or not. What kind of material you have used here? Is this an mia_material? A bit of criticism - there are some over-bright areas and overall pure white floor distract viewer attention from robots, which are also mostly white (I assume that you are not using linear workflow, am I right?)

Thank you for your comment! :) I've used a Blinn material without a specular map, the light was set by default by Mental Ray and I think it's a directional light. I don't know how to use MR, so I tweaked the settings a bit randomly until I got a good result. I was about to reduce the brightness of the light, but I haven't found how to do it. Reducing the intensity of the light wasn't working.
