This is part of a series of the Digimon lowpoly models of the first series of the anime. I loved so much the games for PS1 that I wanted to make a tribute for the series. All the characters are built with less than 500 triangles (to match the PS1 specs) with 256px texture (also 128px is fine, but the eyes will turn very blurry). Also, i made the render without light settings, as it would appear on a 64 bit console.
If you have a suggestion, or some criticism, please write down here. I'm always happy to hear some feedback. Thank you

Nice geo but with such low poly and simple lighting you should really push the texture some more since that's all it's relying on. That depends on the artstyle you're going for but it does like quite flat right now. I can see you've tried to paint shadows into your diffuse a little bit but it's kinda faint. Change the colour of the shadows you have and take em further, seems like it's just black at a low opacity (AO?), make it purple or red tinted and it'll pop more I think if you carried the textures a little further it could look great.
Thank you for your suggestions. Actually I'm not that good at texturing characters, especially if I have to paint the textures. And since I was in a hurry to complete this model, I preferred not to experiment. Also, the shadows on the diffuse was generated by the render engine, not by myself or with an lightmap.
Ah, I see. So the diffuse was totally flat? Keep it in mind for your next piece, anyway! Textures do so much for low poly characters. Render an ambient occlusion map and overlay it at a low opacity on your diffuse texture for quick, easy fake-shadows that are still subtle. Tint it red or purple or something to make it look nicer than just a black shadow. Gradients can help too. All that can be done easily without any painting skill at all and it will still keep that simple cartoony style like Digimon World. It will be subtle but it might help, make it a bit more interesting than just flats!
You've got some pretty nice work, I'd like to see what other stuff you come out with.

Oh, and thanks for the watch!
